Upcoming action village building game Drake Hollow is getting a free playtest on Xbox One this weekend for all Xbox Insiders. It'll last from June 19th at 9am PT / 5pm BST until Monday, June 22nd at 9am PT / 5pm BST.
You can already sign up for the beta if you want to take part, and here's how to do it courtesy of Xbox Wire:
- On your Xbox One console, sign-in and launch the Xbox Insider Hub app (or install the Xbox Insider Hub from the Store first if needed).
- Navigate to Insider content > Games > Drake Hollow – Beta.
- Select Join.
- Wait for the registration to complete.
- On June 19th at 9 a.m. PT, return to the Drake Hollow – Beta in the Xbox Insider Hub and select “Show in store” to install the game.
The game itself is centred around the idea of building and defending villages of vegetable-like creatures called Drakes from "deadly feral beasts" in the world of The Hollow. The full game will feature both single-player and online co-op for up to four players, and launches for Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass on July 17.
Explore a blighted world with your friends. Gather supplies, battle savage creatures, and build villages to protect the local innocent vegetable folks known as Drakes.
