Far Cry Classic for $0.89?!! Oh I have to get that.
Ooh nice, I'm gonna buy Far cry classic!
i'm currently playing through Farcry 3 Classic edition, Great game..
Already have Farcry Classic which I got in a previous sale, I didn't get it that cheap though, I'm sure I paid about £2.00... 🤷♂️
So well worth picking up for 0.71p...
I will get Farcry 2 however and possibly Farcry 4 as my trusty 360 is still setup..
Already have Far Cry Classic and it’s a decent game, loved the original on PC. I’d get Far Cry 2 but the constant attacks from checkpoints all over the map and having to keep treating malaria is enough to put me off playing the game at all. It’s the only Far Cry in the series that I never bothered to complete.
@MaccaMUFC Same here.
I was actually doing very well, but I spent many hours collecting diamonds and stuff of the first map, only to find that during those hours the game glitched and it prevented me from continuing the game. I don't think I had a save from before the glitch occurred, but I didn't want to spent hours re-collecting the diamonds again either.
I have it for both 360 and PS3 though, so, maybe one day I'll find the excuse to try again.
Despite its flaws, and sometimes because of them, I really loved Far Cry 2, to the point that I rate it higher than Far Cry 3. Yes, the constant checkpoint attacks, the bullet sponge enemies and the malaria are annoying, but I was so immersed in the majesty of the African setting that I could eventually overlook these problems. Plus, I honestly think Africa is the series' best setting yet - a future instalment needs to go back.
I understand it is a hard game to get into (it was 4-5 hours in on my fifth attempt at starting the game before I came around), but persevere and it's wholly worth it. It's a different beast to its successors, less about being the ultimate apex predator and more about simply surviving in a hostile (but beautiful) world where everything is trying to kill you. I tend to think of it as the Dark Souls of First Person Shooters.
