Square Enix has announced it will release Marvel's Avengers on Xbox Series X when it launches this holiday season.
The game will still be arriving on current-generation platforms this September. Any players who purchase the game on the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade to the next-generation version at no additional cost.
Players making the transition from Xbox One to Xbox Series X will also be able to transfer their profiles and progression across - so they can pick up right where they left off. Cross-play will be included as well, allowing Xbox Series X players to team up with Xbox One players.
The next-gen version is said to feature "extremely fast load times, boosted resolution and fidelity, improved texturing and armor destruction, ray tracing, and more." Square Enix will reveal additional Xbox Series X specific features for Marvel's Avengers at a later time, and will also be showcasing new gameplay and co-op footage of the game in its "War Table" YouTube stream tomorrow.
Will you be joining Marvel's Avengers right away or holding out until the next-generation arrives this holiday season? Leave a comment down below.

Interested to see how this turns out, possibly interested if it reviews well...
Its funny how they will nickel and dime us for costumes etc but will give out an upgraded version for free
@ralphdibny Probably because they know people aren't going to double dip on these games, especially if this one ends up receiving average reviews.
Well fortunately for me No Hawkeye, either version, so I don’t have to worry about it
I'm still waiting to actually hear some details about this game. Everything about it is:
"The textures are super high quality and the loading times basically don't exist and wow, look how good the characters look!"
I've heard almost nothing about what the game is about, what the gameplay is like, what the story is, etc etc.
