Didn't think you'd be reading this on Pure Xbox today, did you? But it's true! A baby owlet at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park has hatched, and Xbox fans were the ones to name it. Kuro is the name they settled on, and this all goes back to March's release of Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
The story began on March 3rd when Xbox announced that it was teaming up with the Safari Park to allow Xbox fans to name the owlet (from a pre-selected list of names). In an update late last night, San Diego Zoo Safari Park confirmed the owlet finally hatched this past weekend:
In case you're wondering what the connection is, Ori and the Will of the Wisps features a story in which a young owl is born into Ori's adoptive family. You can actually still watch the Burrowing Owl Cam featuring Kuro for yourself, which is currently streaming live on the San Diego Zoo Safari Park website.
What do you make of this story? What would you have called the owlet? Let us know in the comments.

@mousieone
Owls are always cute, not only as hatchlings. Like budgies. 🐦
