Developer Bungie casually announced earlier today that it'll be bringing Destiny 2 to next-gen platforms including Xbox Series X. The company revealed this in response to a tweet by the official Xbox account concerning the "hundreds of titles in development for Xbox Series X".
For now, Bungie just says that more details are to come, providing no information on specifics, including whether the game will leverage Microsoft's Smart Delivery program. Either way, we're still expecting Destiny 2 to be playable via backwards compatibility, but a dedicated next-gen version could bring some welcome improvements including a potentially higher frame rate on Xbox Series X.

I gave up on Destiny quite a while ago. Its not that it was bad but after 1000's of hours from the start, I just didn't feel like paying for more of basically the same - something you can get through in 'hours' and then spend 'hundreds of hours doing the same things over and over until you reach a certain level and/or get the gear you want - then watch as that gear becomes obsolete....
It was a LOT of fun playing - especially with friends but it started to become too much of a commitment and more a chore to try and keep at the top and I had other games I wanted to spend time with...
As such, I don't think I will be bothering with Destiny 2 on Series X
It's already native 4K on the X, so I'm expecting 60fps (or 120, if they can) and more bling.
Love it or hate it there's a lot to enjoy with Destiny.
It looks great, sounds great and plays like a dream. Gather up a few friends for a session and it's great fun!
