We're spoilt for choice when it comes to Xbox games this weekend. There are multiple games available as part of Microsoft's Free Play Days program, two new Xbox Games With Gold titles to enjoy, and hundreds of discounted classics via the Xbox Spring Sale. Here's what we're playing over the next couple of days:

There are a bunch of games I want to buy in the Xbox Spring Sale 2020, but I'm not sure what I'll settle on yet. Having really enjoyed the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy a few years ago, I'm tempted by Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. I'm also looking at games like Lost Odyssey on Xbox 360, overlooked racing gem Onrush and the brilliant Resident Evil 2 remake to pick up over the next couple of days.
As for Xbox Game Pass, I'll be trying to make more progress in Kingdom Hearts III (which I'm really enjoying so far), and with WrestleMania 36 taking place throughout the weekend, I'm also keen to jump back into Gears 5 to sample the new Batista Bomb execution. Have a great weekend folks!

I've been in need of an excuse to return to Fable Anniversary, and now that it's made this month's Xbox Games With Gold lineup, this is the perfect opportunity. So this weekend, I'll be returning to Albion to relive this glorious adventure of good and evil all over again. I should probably give some attention to NieR: Automata as well, now that it's been made available on Xbox Game Pass. And if I get any extra time, I'll be skipping ahead to Fable III via Xbox Backwards Compatibility. As odd as that may seem, earlier in the week I bought a brand new physical copy on 360, so it's about time I put it to use.

This weekend I’m gonna be digging into more beautiful Xbox Game Pass delights in the form of NieR: Automata. I finished it when it initially released, so I reckon I’m long overdue a re-run of this amazing game. Elsewhere, my son has been getting right into Plants Vs Zombies: Battle For Neighborville - his introduction to the world of third person shooters - perhaps it’s almost time for me to get him into Gears of War?
I’ve also fully committed to giving the revamped Ghost Recon Breakpoint a fresh look, as they’ve reworked quite a lot of the problematic aspects of the game in the latest patch, including removing the Division 2-style gear levelling system, so I’m pretty hopeful this one is starting to get back on track. Beyond that, I’ll be sniffing around the Easter sale for a bargain or two. I’ve already spied Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire at a reduced price, which is exactly the kind of game I need to pass some time during an extended lockdown. Have a good weekend if you can manage it and stay safe out there, everyone.
Which Xbox games will you be playing this weekend? Let us know in the comments.

Happy gaming and stay safe!
My copy of Final Fantasy VII turned up on Thursday and I haven't touched anything else since.
Even with a wife and a 1 year old son I've managed to put 23 hours into it
Sleep has been sacrificed big time, so tired haha
Forza Motorsport 6 and Nier Automata
While the fine folks at Nintendo fix that game-breaking bug they call Bunny Day in Animal Crossing, I’m hot on Ciri’s footsteps in my first playthrough of Witcher III on xbox. I love the immersion, which I’ve chosen to enhance by switching off the HUD entirely and exploring “blind”. Also enjoying No Man’s Sky, Steep, and Nier: Automata, though I’m giving Nier a few more days’ peace as it was released on Game Pass not two weeks after I purchased it full price. Don’t get me wrong, it’s worth every penny, but I must allow time for that burn to heal.
@Mamabear Just picked up Rise of the Tomb Raider on sale for $3.99 (after which it jumped to $8.99), and have put a couple of very entertaining hours into it. I do love what this series has become.
@nofriendo That’s a good sale! I saw that the older Tomb Raider games (Xbox 360) were on sale for $1.99 but I haven’t pulled the trigger. I never played Tomb Raider until the “newer” one so I’m not sure if I would like it as much. 🤔
I think I dropped about 15+ hours into Animal Crossing over the weekend. My island looks totally different.
