Capcom have revealed that a Resident Evil 3 Demo is coming to Xbox Live on March 19th (this Thursday), while an open beta for the co-op focused Resistance will also be available on March 27th. There's also a new trailer showcasing some of the gameplay, which you can see above.
The news was shared on the Capcom Unity blog (thanks IGN), where it's noted that "you’ll step into the shoes of Jill Valentine as she attempts to make a desperate escape from Raccoon City as it rapidly descends into chaos. It also mentions that "you won’t want to go in guns blazing", as "you’ll need to conserve your ammo and items if you want to stand a chance of surviving."
The Resistance Open Beta will see you playing as a Survivor trying to escape from a "twisted experiment", or playing as a Mastermind and trying to prevent the Survivors from escaping. Resistance will be included in the full version of Resident Evil 3, which is currently set to release on April 3rd.
Will you be downloading the demo later this week? Let us know if you'll be a Survivor or a Mastermind in the comments.

I never did play the original version of this game. I see no issue with trying out the demo.
