Update: (Thu 26th Mar, 2020 14:57 GMT): It's been announced that new label Epic Games Publishing is the 'major publisher' behind these games. The company has also signed deals with Gen Design (The Last Guardian) and Playdead (Inside).
Original Story: (Thu 26th Mar, 2020 14:10 GMT): The developer behind games such as Control, Quantum Break and Alan Wake has announced it's signed agreements with a 'major publisher' for two next-gen games. Both will be set in the same franchise, with first being a "AAA multi-platform game", and the other a "smaller-scale" project.
Remedy Entertainment has confirmed (thanks VGC) that both games will be released for next-gen consoles and PC "in the next few years". Both games are said to be utilising Remedy's Northlight game engine and tools during development, and the bigger of the two projects is apparently already in pre-production.
No guesses as to who the 'major publisher' is yet, but VGC has said more details about the partnership will be revealed later today in a press release. If we hear more, we'll let you know. Are you excited for these games? Let us know your favourite Remedy title in the comments.

We now know its Epic games...
@BAMozzy Thanks for sharing! Updated.
I still need to play Control, but Quantum Break was criminally underrated.
Will be interesting to see what they come out with
I always wanted to play Quantum break, I might have to pick it up some time
Please be Alan Wake, please be Alan Wake, please be Alan Wake...

I always knew Sony was never acquiring Remedy. I am sure Microsoft had tried over the years, but probably failed. And they have more $ than anyone.
But at least this means that XSX & PS5 fans can enjoy the games from these companies. Steam fans will probably throw a fit again, but whatever.
@TheNewButler
Exactly. I don’t get it. Us console gamers have to spend a lot of $ to buy another console to get another company’s exclusives.
PC gamers have to take the 10 seconds it takes to down download another launcher & still complain.
I haven’t played Quantum Break or Alan Wake but Control was so awesome to play. I’m excited to see what they’re working on.
