You wanted more hardcore games for Kinect, and you've got it: Cabela's Big Game Hunter: Hunting Party combines all the fun of body-tracking with the thrill of hunting animals with a plastic gun.
Activision has just released the first screenshots and 'lifestyle' photos of the Top Shot Sport, the plastic gun necessary to play the game, marking the first time a Kinect game has launched with a necessary accessory. Best of all is the disclaimer text on the box:
This product may be mistaken for a firearm by law enforcement officers or others.
According to the official fact sheet the game will feature a single-player campaign as well as multiplayer modes for four players in a hot seat style.
Retailing at $79.99, the game is due to reach North America on 1st November. Is it on your Christmas list?

WOW, It took Cabella's to come out with a gun Acessory???? Crazy
huh, Interesting to see them use big tracking indicators on the gun. Almost PlayStation Move-inspired with bright round colorful lights. I wonder how responsive the gameplay is when they rely entirely on the Kinect instead of having sensor bars on the screen like past Cabela releases. Color me intrigued, but I'm sure it won't be the big seller this holiday ( i mean, just look at all the cabela boxes still on shelves today)...
Hey, they should adapt this for GOW.
Really hope this is good!
IR tracking has been better than what the Move uses (RGB subtraction). if you compare shooters on the Wii versus the Move, the cursor handles much more accurately. all the modern "light guns" use IR since real light guns only work on CRT technology.
