Have you ever run into an issue with a disc-based device wherein you can't seem to get the blasted thing out? It's an incredibly annoying issue and one that can also plague Xbox owners. While the problem will most likely require a repair, before sending it off, you're probably going to want to take out the game you have rolling around in there.
Thankfully, there's a manual way of ejecting your disc on Xbox One and Xbox Series X, and we're here to walk you through each one step-by-step.
How To Remove A Stuck Disc From Your Xbox One Disc Drive
You'll need a paper clip to do this and it must reach at least 2 inches. Once you have one in hand, follow these steps:
- Step One: Look on the side of your Xbox One by the disc drive to see a small hole.
- Step Two. Push the paper clip into the hole until you start to see the disc push out.
- Step Three: Once it's come out enough, remove the disc and paper clip from the slot.
How To Remove A Stuck Disc From Your Xbox Series X Disc Drive

- Step One: Look underneath your Xbox Series X to see a small hole on the round stand.
- Step Two. Push the paper clip into the hole until you start to see the disc push out.
- Step Three: Once it's come out enough, remove the disc and paper clip from the slot.
That's all there is to it! With these simple steps, you'll never have to worry about your Xbox swallowing your disc forever and having to break it open like a piƱata.
