Halo Infinite's first season of multiplayer action, Heroes of Reach, is underway and 343 Industries has detailed the game's first "mini season" special event, an event through which players can nab themselves a pretty spectacular Yoroi Samurai armour set. It officially started earlier today, November 23rd.
Fracture: Tenrai features a free 30-tier Event Pass alongside a limited time playlist and event-specific challenges. In addition to the highlight of the event - the Legendary Yoroi Armor core - it includes the following:
- Torii Reflection – Epic Backdrop
- Gatekeeper – Legendary Shoulder Pads
- Rare Samurai Nameplate & Emblems
- Sol Devil – Legendary Weapon Coating (MA40 AR)
- Whispered Sky – Epic Weapon Coating (Sidekick and BR75 Battle Rifle)
- Spring Blossom Filter – Legendary Helmet Attachment
- Swordsman’s Belt – Legendary Utility for Yoroi Armor Core
To obtain these and make progress in the Event Pass, you'll need to complete Event Challenges:
"Event Challenges can be found on your challenges page marked with a red banner. Completing an Event Challenge will unlock an event pass tier reward, and by completing each event challenge, you will progress through the Event Pass."
The important thing to note here is that the Fracture: Tenrai event will be making six total appearances between now and the end of Season 1, with the second set to take place in January 2022. For now, it's available from November 23rd to November 30th at 10am PT, but you'll be able to continue making progress through the Event Pass when it reappears in the new year. In other words, don't panic too much this week!
In addition to the free Event Pass, Halo Infinite is also gifting a Fracture backdrop to all players, and additional Samurai-themed items are available by completing this week's Ultimate Challenge. If you want to take things a step further, the in-game shop also features "limited time, premium Samurai-themed cosmetics".
The exact Fracture: Tenrai event dates to keep a ntoe of for future reference are as follows.
- Week 1: November 23rd, 2021 to November 29th, 2021
- Week 2: January 4th, 2022 to January 10th, 2022
- Week 3: February 1st, 2022 to February 7th, 2022
- Week 4: February 22nd, 2022 to March 2st, 2022

Free to all players is a great touch.
I know there's a few naysayers, but personally, I'm a massive fan of these Fracture armour sets 😁
Let's hope it's simple enough to get, as levelling up the current pass is taking an age haha
I don't think im stopping playing this game any time soon so bring it on!
It’ll be good to see what the first limited time event like. 343 have been really responsive to feedback since the beta started.
While the Tenrai looks cool I’m going to stick with my current Spartan which is a mix of the first two weekly bundles. I love the huge shoulders on it. I’ve not seen anyone else wearing this set yet which is nice.
Dude, that looks sick! Hopefully the challenges don't require tens of hours
Can anyone say if it is worth getting the full premium battle pass bundle? I've held of on getting the standard BP as it's not clear if you can add in the premium after.
I'm a bit new to the F2P genre... Also kind of a sucker for cosmetics.
Oh this is gonna be sweet. Can't wait to play after work, hopefully this week's challenge aren't as brutal or numerous. 10 kills with the Skewer!? was the hardest for me as it canme late in the week, you have to beat every other player to it, then pray those pikes hit and the enemy doesn't notice before you reload.
@Generik It's really only worth it if you want to skip to level 25 of the battle pass and get those cosmetics immediately. If nothing sticks out to you in that range, then probably not.
I bought the standard pass to support the game's early release (and to actually get cosmetics every now and then), but personally I'd recommend holding off until they actually make the grind more worth it.
@Generik I'd say if you just want the 25-tier level to instantly unlock something in that range, then why not. But if you're patient, just get the regular pass and level it up when you have the time. You'll get there eventually anyway
Think I may be doing something wrong for this battle pass?
Every time I go to battle pass it wants me to purchase 1,000 credits to buy the battle pass.
If it's free am I missing where to go to load the credits or free battle pass?
@GuyinPA75 If im reading correctly what you wrote . You need to buy the actual halo battle pass . It's like 10 bucks. The Tenrai event is the free event pass so to speak
@DONIMAL316 Oh ok. Thought read somewhere the first battle pass was going to be free to everyone.
Figures too good be true.
@Generik buying the Premium pass is like paying more in order to not play the game.
Kinda hard to get hype for armor that looks like one of those reject designs they ported to Halo 3 from Halo Online.
@Broosh That completely makes sense. It already feels like progression is better, so not worth paying ~$20 to skip some levels.
