Welcome to the first weekend of December 2022! We've been spoilt for choice in terms of new additions on Xbox this week once again, including a bunch of new Xbox Game Pass titles, three more Free Play Days games, lots of major new releases including The Callisto Protocol, and more deals on the Xbox Store as always!
Here's what we're playing this weekend:

It's been a busy week for games, huh? I'm definitely interested in trying out the likes of The Callisto Protocol and Marvel's Midnight Suns in the near future, but for now the only major new release of the week that I'll be playing is Need for Speed Unbound (with the free 10-hour Xbox Game Pass trial), and it seems great so far!
In terms of Xbox Game Pass, I might finally return to my all-time favourite series in Telltale Games' The Walking Dead, with The Final Season now available to subscribers. If you've played all the other Walking Dead games (ideally, you really need to first), then you definitely don't want to miss out on this - it's a very worthy conclusion in my opinion.
Have a great weekend, folks!

Hello. This weekend I'm hopefully gonna be getting stuck into Marvel's Midnight Suns and Need for Speed Unbound - as well as watching far too much football as we enter the knockout stages of the World Cup.
Coming off the back of my disappointment with The Callisto Protocol, a game I've personally had at the top of my most wanted list since it was announced, I'm hoping Firaxis can deliver the goods with their superhero tactics title, and from what I've gleaned from the reviews out there so far, it seems there's little to worry about. Will this dev studio ever make a bad game? It doesn't seem likely.
I've already used up my ten-hour trial of Need for Speed Unbound too, and I'm really impressed with it so far, the racing feels tight and competitive and it's a just a really nice game to dip into and clear a few calendar dates in the campaign with some action-packed street racing and drifting. The story hasn't really been my cup of tea so far, but who cares when the actual gameplay looks, sounds and feels this great?
Now, how do I get my son off Roblox so I can actually get playing any of this stuff?
Have a nice weekend!

The Callisto Protocol - obviously.
And one of the greatest games of all time..... Superman 64.
Oops, I meant Tetris.
I'll be playing Eastward, loving the art style and relaxed combat and puzzling!
For me it’s cyberpunk 2077 and some midnight fight express.
Steelrising. It's a tough game but I'm slowly chipping away at it. Leave it to Spiders to create such a bizarre yet interesting world lol!
Gone for the weekend visiting family but Sunday night I want get cozy and play some Pokémon and MW2.
Oh, that's right, I forgot about TWD!
I need to finish it. I only ever finished S1 back on PC and then on PS3 (to carry my choices to S2). When I finally played S2 it didn't work because it was from another region so yeah. Only ever finished the first one which I ended up playing like 3 times. Don't really wanna play S1 again but I'll have to do it.
Pokémon Yellow Version (Game Boy) - Circled back to Viridian City to challenge for my Earth badge.
LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game (PlayStation 2) - Decided to go back and collect all minikits and gold bricks.
AlphaJax (Windows Phone) - Seems like the game no longer functions at all now. I'll drop this now and move onto the next WP game to play and delete
A Plague Tale Requiem - I'm
very disappointed, its very samey in comparison to the first one.
A plague tale requiem... i really like it , but i want to finish it already so I can finally start playing monkey island.
I am like 14 hs in and still in chapter 12. Kinda overstating its welcome.
On PC i am playing disco elysium. What a gem of a game
This weekend I am playing nothing. I’m getting married today and I can’t wait.
On a side note, I did manage to beat God of War Ragnarok (PS5) on Monday. Since I had several days to spare before my wedding and honeymoon, I decided to download Vampire Survivors via Xbox Game Pass since it’s not narrative heavy. Oh, boy - I shouldn’t have.
This game is quite possibly one of, if not the most addicting game I’ve played in years. It’s mind boggling to me how a game can be so simple, able to be played with one hand, and yet provide some the most adrenaline fueled moments in recent memory. I’m excited to really dig deep into this game whenever I have more time.
I've been playing some pentiment and some stray. I've been enjoying both and think I'm close to wrapping both up but not sure what I'm going to dip into next. I've downloaded FF7 intergrade, ghost of tsushima directors cut to check out the dlc and need for speed unbound to check out the 10 hr trial on EA. Don't know what I'll check out next though. Have a good weekend folks
LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga and Marvel’s Midnight Suns for me.
Mostly been on my new ps5 lately! I’m about halfway through Spider-Man (2018) and might be starting Midnight Sons today
@BlackMayge VS is super addicting…wish they’d let us remap controls but that’s hardly a gripe
Congratulations on your nuptials!!!!
@hypnotoad how are you enjoying Callisto? Is it bad as the critics are making it out to be? Still gonna play it for atmosphere alone
@Dusk_Actual I'm enjoying it, mate.
It's graphically beautiful but I can't help thinking that Dead Space remake may be a little bit more special.
Disney Dreamlight Valley, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Battle Royal, and Capcom Fighting Game Collection.
@BlackMayge good luck pal hope it all goes well. The day flew by for me in an absolute blur, too much to take in at the time! Enjoy it !
The Quarry again going to try to get more than 3 of them out alive this time
I really want to try Gundam Evolution. I’m not playing anything in particular at the moment. I’m in stasis til Sports Story comes out, I suppose.
Was playing Callisto Protocol, but I’ve quickly gone off it due to less-than-stellar combat. Maybe the Midnight Suns game will be worth my time as I did rather like Enemy Unknown several years ago
Hi there fellow gamers,
This weekend I´ll be playing Record of Lodoss War-Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, Lake and a bit more of Prodeus on my Xbox Series X and continue my jorney in Horizon Forbidden West on my PS5. Might just finish RoLW on sunday though.
I have also been dusting off my Vita and my 3DS playing Jak 2 and Dragon Ball Fusions on each system. Just to make sure they still work. And they do.
Chhers, stay safe and happy gaming weekend to us all
Callisto Protocol, the game is great
Almost done with persona 5 (close to the 100h mark and at the last dungeon)
Random but I never played Batman Arkham Origins. I read it was underrated and craved some Batman action plus it's set on Christmas Eve. Enjoying it so far! Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart and Heavenly Bodies (with my wife) rounds off my weekend gaming.
@CrazyJF Enjoy! A Plague Tale games are one of my favourite series of all time now.
@fabisputza007 Disco Elysium is my favourite game of the past 5 years perhaps. I wish more people gave it a go. It definitely isn't my style of game but I got utterly hooked!
@Kaloudz Glad you are enjoying this, its is indeed excellent. Id like to recommend you give the followup 'Revenant Kingdom' a go too if you can. I didnt know if Id enjoy it as much, but its just as interesting and good and I hope you get to try it..
@Kaloudz Ive not heard of a remaster, but theres a 2021 switch edition, or the original ps4 one which I played in 2018. They really mixed it up, lots of new ideas and systems, but they really all worked...
@TJ81 absolutely it is a gem of a game.
Im only 10hs in so far.
It is a great game to play in short sessions though
