We mentioned it over the weekend, and we're going to mention it again - it's a big week for Xbox Game Pass! We've got three highly-anticipated titles arriving on the service (at launch) over the next few days, and they're all very different.
Firstly, there's the tough-as-nails soulslike Lies of P arriving later today (tomorrow in some countries) which we recently gave a "Great" 8/10 score to here at Pure Xbox. Then, we've got the Gang Beasts-like Party Animals dropping on Wednesday, which you'll also soon find we've given a "Great" 8/10 score to! And finally, there's the arrival of co-op shooter Payday 3 on Thursday following its short early access period which begins today.
In the comments and the poll below, we'd love to hear which of these three games you're most excited for, and also let us know if you think you'll be able to divert your attention away from Starfield for them! It's easier said than done...
Here are some trailers and more information on each of this week's Xbox Game Pass titles:
Lies of P - Monday, September 18th (11am ET / 4pm BST)
Lies of P is a thrilling soulslike that takes the story of Pinocchio, turns it on its head, and sets it against the darkly elegant backdrop of the Belle Epoque era.
Party Animals - Wednesday, September 20th
Fight your friends as puppies, kittens and other fuzzy creatures in PARTY ANIMALS! Paw it out with your friends both online and offline. Interact with the world under our realistic physics engine. Did I mention PUPPIES?
Payday 3 - Thursday, September 21st
PAYDAY 3 is the much anticipated sequel to one of the most popular co-op shooters ever. Since its release, PAYDAY-players have been reveling in the thrill of a perfectly planned and executed heist. That’s what makes PAYDAY a high-octane, co-op FPS experience without equal.
Which of these are you most excited for? Tell us down in the poll and comments section below.

Cocoon, but not this week.
I’ll try Party Animals?
Gonna be starting Lies of P tonight. Still got Starfield and Sea of Stars on the go too.
Left off none of the above in the vote choice.
Lies of P without a shadow of doubt, though quite when I'm going to get round to it is another matter. I'm just getting towards the end of Act 2 in Baldur's Gate 3 on my PC, and then my Series X will be getting some love in the form of Starfield, for which I have the Collector's Edition (with the watch) sat unopened on my settee.
Great time to be a gamer. Nightmare finding enough time to play all the recent excellent releases... 😊
I'm passing on all three. But hoping to have time for Cities Skylines 2 in a few weeks.
None tbh, next month is much more interesting than these 3.
Of these 3, I'm mostly looking forward to Lies of P - although its not something I am likely to play this week as it appeals far less than other games I am playing and want to keep playing more than I want to play Lies of P.

@Mournukes Yeah, Lies of P with its 82 Open Critic score is a trash children’s game. I agree.
None of these really. But thats fine, i'm still pretty deep into Starfield and Baldurs Gate.

How is payday 3 not getting more love?
Lies of P is HUGE pass for me unless there is an easy/story mode. I just have more important things to do in my life then spend 3 hours of try and die to only advance 5 mins in a game.

Nothing, really. I'm busy with my backlog.
@awp69 @Mournukes Honestly it sounds you've been in VR with more than just games.
@BBB enjoy G, it looks like quality. Hope it turns out well, kinda want a live service/looter-shooter and I think it fits the bill
@GuyinPA75 man's lost the plot
Doubt I’ll have time to play anything other than Starfield but Lies of P is on my radar to play at some point.
Still deep into Starfield and thinking of doing another run of Metroid Dread on the side. Would love to try lies of P at some point though.
I'm still soo far into starfield I can barely think about other games. Might check out payday3 though as it looks like a laugh
Lies of P looks great, but i suspect I wont have the reactions to play it. Not interested in the other 2 titles at all.
I know we are getting some big games, but I preferred GP when we got over 20 titles a month - it was far more likely to have several titles I might want. Still, its hard to feel hard done by when I'm playing Starfield
@Titntin how did you sort out your motion thing?
Topic: All Lies of P - all week.
@Cashews I used those wrist bands that help with motion sickness, they genuinely helped me. That and I take a break every few hours - usually to play the crew motorfest
I understand that an FOV slider will come in the first update, and I expect that will help me too. Too many issues to be anything than a 8/10 game for me, but its a great game I'm enjoying playing very much regardless....
Thanks for asking!
How about putting a "none of the above" in this poll? None of these games for me. I tried the Lies of P demo. Thought it was trash.
@Titntin that's awesome. It'll probably help you for the rest of your life hopefully.
Who said video games forums can't help?!?
Not looking forward to any of them but if i have nothing better to do i might try a few of them
A big week and then a big month in October.
