It's time for another round of Pick One! This week, to celebrate 20 years of the Splinter Cell series, we thought we'd take a look back at the history of Tom Clancy games on Xbox.
Last year, you told us that Chaos Theory was your favourite Splinter Cell game with 36% of the vote, and Wildlands was your favourite Ghost Recon game with 29% of the vote. But what happens when we put everything together?
Remember, you can only pick one!
Let's take a look at some highlights from the poll:
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (2002)
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell® introduces a new type of game to the lineup: a third-person stealth action game with cyber-terrorism, shadow agencies and covert operations on the menu. Take control of Sam Fisher, a field operative of a secretive "black-ops" NSA sub-agency called THIRD ECHELON.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (2005)
The next installment of the critically acclaimed stealth-action franchise, Tom Clancy's Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell® Chaos Theory™ sends Sam Fisher on a perilous mission to stop a cyberterrorist plot that threatens worldwide war.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas (2006)
Rainbow operatives take to the chaotic streets of Las Vegas as an escalating terrorist siege in “Sin City” threatens to take world terrorism to new, uncontrollable heights. The future of global security hangs in the balance as you battle to defend classic Vegas locations and environments like Fremont Street, the Strip, and casinos.
Tom Clancy's Advanced Warfighter 2 (2007)
You are the Soldier of the Future 2.0. All systems have been upgraded to give you more power and control on the battlefield. Lead your team of elite Special Forces for the first time on US soil. You are the last line of defense and must do what it takes to be victorious.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege (2015)
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege invites players to master the art of destruction. Intense close quarters confrontations, high lethality, tactics, team play, and explosive action are at the center of the experience. The gameplay sets a new bar for intense firefights and expert strategy in the rich legacy of past Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six games.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands (2017)
Create a team with up to 3 friends in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® Wildlands and enjoy the ultimate military shooter experience set in a massive, dangerous, and responsive open world.

Lol seriously, this is the hardest poll ever.
I just cant choose.
But definitely Splintercell.
I also loved Ghost recon Wildlands.
I wanted to like Breakpoint, but it had soo many bugs in the beginning, and the game is too much open world that you easily forget what you where doing lol. Still play it, but i miss the good old Ghost recon style games.
That is a game that needs a total makeover again. Its a genre that can be as big as Call of duty (if they do it right)
Genuinely a tough choice. Splinter Cell 1,3+4 were super. As were the Advanced Warfighter games.
I voted for Rainbow Six Vegas 1 (though 2 is equally good). Absolutely superb games which play miles better than most FPS' today. Not to mention split screen co-op ran without issue.
I went with Blacklist. The first Splinter Cell was a favourite for ages, but I really got into Blacklist and spent ages playing it on the Wii U and 100% ghosting most of the levels (IIRC there were a few levels where you had to use a gun). I really liked how the game let you choose if you wanted to play stealthily or go in guns blazing.
While it didn’t have Michael Ironside, I still enjoyed Eric Johnson’s take on Sam Fisher (Sam seemed to get younger with every game anyway). The Paladin felt a lot like Mass Effect’s Normandy and was great a place where you could interact with the rest of the characters between missions.
It’s a real shame we never got a sequel to Blacklist, as I think they perfected the format with that game.
Yea loved Vegas and it's sequel. Met so many cool people. Had a clan on one of em also.
I can’t express how much I miss the mercenaries mode in Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory
Splinter Cell doesn't hold the same appeal to me as I was a PlayStation guy up to the 360 age, so I missed the classic splinter cell games, thus Sam Fisher just didn't appeal. I went with Division 2. I'm absolutely loving that atm
Very tough choice indeed. I went with Rainbow Six Vegas. Loved the simple yet intense electronic soundtrack and we still haven't seen a better cover system in any shooter since! 'Open flash and clear!' Chaos Theory is a very close second. The pinnacle of that series. Really enjoyed the early Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter titles too. The graphics in Mexico City were insane at the time.
It was a tough choice between SC Chaos Theory, Blacklist and Ghost Recon: Future Solider but in the end I went with Future Soldier. Played the heck out of that game.
My favorite TC game isn’t on Xbox or this list, it was Ruthless . Com on pc. Awesome strategy game!
I really want to try out splinter cell, wish they had an all in one collection for Series S/X…. I tried it out long ago, but Metal Gear had ruined me for the stealth action genre at the time so I couldn’t get into SC….
Rainbow Six 3 on the original Xbox.
@Clankylad Same. Vegas and Vegas 2 will always be peak Tom Clancy for me.
Have only played Blacklist since the servers were closing and I wanted to get the achievements done.
I was always interested in the Splinter Cell games so this was the push needed for me to finally try one.
And I wasn't disappointed. What a class game!
The original Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter on the 360.. I absolutely love that game..
The Division, The Division 2, Wildlands, and Breakpoint are my favourites. I voted for breakpoint because I figured it would get the least love on this poll out of the four.
