Esteemed EA developer BioWare has released some fantastic Xbox games over the years - right from the OG Xbox all the way through to the current generation. Of course, the company's Mass Effect and Dragon Age series' are most closely associated with the Canadian developer these days, but which Xbox BioWare title is your absolute favourite?
The team was at its most prolific during the Xbox 360 era, at least on console, where those two famous franchises grew into what they are today. The team's pair of OG Xbox games are well regarded as well though, and all-in-all, it's tough to pick just one title from the list here.
We've got a few caveats to keep in mind as well. We're not including the team's early PC games like Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 (their Xbox versions came years later from a different developer), and we're also excluding Mass Effect Legendary Edition for obvious reasons - picking a collection with three fully remastered games packed into it would be cheating!
So, excluding Dragon Age: The Veilguard which launches tomorrow, which is your favourite BioWare game on Xbox?

Mass Effect 3 because the citadel DLC was PERFECT
mass effect legendary edition why isnt that on the list?
all 3 games and the dlc at 4k60 sweet
Mass effect 3 because the gameplay is much better than 2, even though the story was a bit worse & the finale was garbage.
Having played through all the Dragon Age games recently I do have a fondness for Inquisition. So many moments that made me stop and really think on my choices.
Also bonus vote for Jade Empire which i remember playing a lot too.
Mass Effect wasn't my thing at all. I tried really hard to enjoy them but was generally more annoyed with the characters & story of the franchise.
Mass effect 2 was great but mass effect 3 was perfection till the last ten minutes or so and the gameplay was the best in the series definitely my favorite đđ
I went for Mass Effect 2, though I think much of the gameplay in 3 was slightly better. Problem was the ending, which for me was not good enough. That said, I've just remembered that 3 had the multiplayer, which was very, very good. Wish I could change my vote now... đ€Șđ
If Mass Effect Legendary Edition were here it would get my vote but instead went with Mass Effect 2 as the base game required the least amount of upgrades in the remaster.
For years I would have died on a hill for ME2, but playing the legendary edition of ME3 with the DLC integrated - especially Citadel, which is just glorious - I have to go with that.
Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 2.
Mass Effect 2 for me with the 3rd game a close second.
Mass Effect 2 but I really did love Jade Empire on the original Xbox
Mass Effect 2 is unbelievably good so that got my vote. Dragon Age: Origins was also great.
The BioWare that made those games is gone, good memories at least.
I picked jade empire it was close between that and dragon age and mass effect. I'm just shocked how high mass effect 2 is on peoples list. the gameplay for me limited ammo narrow corridors was hot garbage. loosing a fight multiple times because you have 100 bullets wasn't fun for me.
Mass Effect 1, loved ME2 besides the bizarre ending. Just thinking about it again makes me laugh so hard how dumb it was.
@trev666 Cause the question is which is your favourite game, not collection of games.
Mass Effect 2. Itâs just such a good slow burn of an RPG and it bridged the gap between two other solid, solid entries. Mass Effect is basically exactly what i wanted out of gaming around the time it released.
I voted for Anthem, because I think it deserves a bit of appreciation.
I was playing it several weeks ago and enjoying it much... however still getting disconnections and server errors.
of course it is not the best BioWare game, anyway I wished a redemption story for it.
It's a 50/50 between Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2 for me but I went with Dragon Age: Origins.
Both games are masterpieces and nothing that Bioware has made since 2010 has come even close enough to topping them.
Mass Effect 3 was at least pretty good.
On a side-note:
I would love to see Dragon Age: Origins get ported to Switch.
Not 2 or Inquisition, just the first game please.
Too bad Bioware as it was is gone forever, but it was beautiful while it lasted
Jade Empire will always be my favorite. It's a shame they never made another one.
I went with SW: KOTOR, because it was my very first Bioware game and I was just completely blown away by it.
...Still remember buying the game and the Prima guide from one of the Game stores in London, and hurrying home to play it on my chunky og Xbox. Great timesđ, love the ME and DA series too.
KOTOR by a country mile. It's my favorite game of all time. I played it again last year and still love it.
@LostInBlue0 I just recently did a play through. its just good the story was fun and left me pretty happy.
@Tasuki have you watched the credits their a lot of fun. also I agree with you it deserved a sequel or another game in the universe. I m not sure why it doesn't get one it seems like they could hit it out of the park.
@Arkz when you buy mass effect legendary edition its one game you purchase. that makes it one game
@VisitingComet1 I am sure I did when I last played it which was about 10 years ago or so. I am not sure why they have never explored that universe again. My guess is that it just wasn't as popular as KOTOR, Mass Effect or Dragon Age and they just didnt want to put the resources into it and chose instead to focus on the more popular series.
@trev666 It's a launcher containing 3 games.
In a vacuum I would say Mass Effect 1. Objectively though I would say Jade Empire. For me, Bioware doesnât make good sequels so JE was a wonderful standalone game (even if they left some story threads. )
