It's time for another round of Pick One! This week, to celebrate the Xbox Game Pass release of Shredders this past Thursday, we thought we'd take a look back at the rich history of snowboarding games on Xbox.
From SSX to Amped, there have been some classic games over the past 20 years, but which is your favourite?
Remember, you can only pick one!
Let's take a look at some highlights, followed by the poll below
SSX Tricky (2001)
Many of the locales look familiar, but the course designers have been burning the midnight oil during the off season creating all new and insane trick versions of the courses that will allow the riders venues to let in the popular Showoff (trick) mode. In addition, track gurus have put in a multitude of new paths and shortcuts, as well as two completely new stops on the SSX World Circuit.
Amped 2 (2003)
Amped 2 is the ultimate freestyle snowboarding experience offering the largest, most varied trick library of any snowboarding game. Explore vast areas of wide-open, spectacularly rendered real mountains packed with terrain parks designed by world-famous snow park architect Chris Gunnarson.
SSX 3 (2003)
SSX 3 allows gamers to go anywhere gravity will take them. Players will discover a colossal mountain where they can immerse themselves in a free-roaming snow paradise. The ultimate all-mountain experience, SSX 3 features all-new events and courses, awe-inspiring tricks and a cast of cool, customisable characters. Discover the open terrain, explore its hidden crevices, and conquer its peaks.
Shaun White Snowboarding (2008)
Powered by the award-winning Assassin's Creed™ engine for Xbox 360 and the PLAYSTATION 3 system, Shaun White Snowboarding truly captures the action sports lifestyle. Developed in close collaboration with Shaun White, Olympic Gold Medalist and eight-time X Games Gold Medalist, Shaun White Snowboarding allows players to enter a world of total freedom, where they can create their own experience and choose how, where, and with whom they want to ride.
Steep (2016)
Ride a massive open world across the Alps, where the powder is always fresh and the run never ends. Defy and master the mountain alone or with friends on skis, wingsuits, snowboards and paragliders. Record and share your best stunts.
Riders Republic (2021)
Jump into the Riders Republic massive multiplayer playground! Grab your skis, snowboard, bike, or wingsuit and explore an open world sports paradise where the rules are yours to make—or break.
Shredders (2022)
A love letter to snowboarding, Shredders takes inspiration from a whole bunch of awesome snowboarding films, the Amped games from back in the day, and the snowboarding heroes on Instagram.

For me SSX3 is king but I did spend quite a bit of time with Steep. I tried a few others but they were so-so. As for the Amped series I dont know why but I could never get into the series.
I have to go with Shaun White cause it's the only one I played.
SSX Tricky or SSX 3 because honestly I don’t remember the differences between the two, but I remember liking both of them… and apparently SSX Tricky is more than 20 years old, so that makes me feel ancient
Played a lot of SSX but on GameCube. Loved steep and riders republic but I’m more of a skier in those. Shredders is top notch. A little buggy but I like the realism.
SSX 3 for just having fun. Riders Republic for the open world. Nothing against Shredders but I don’t feel it brings anything to the table. It feels like Steep without all the bells and whistles.
I’ll go with Cool Boarders on the PS1! That was awesome.
Tricky will forever be the best snowboarding game I love that game so damn much
SSX tricky is the only one I recall playing quite abit
Definitely Stoked for the 360, a real hidden gem and one of the best snowboarding games I played.
Final Fantasy VII
Amped 3 is the one that lets you snowboard through weiner-park.
So that's a winner.
SSX3 for me! Played it a bunch on the Gamecube back in the day. That and coolboarders on ps1 have got to be my absolute faves on this genre!
Ssx 3 is the only correct answer.
SSX tricky is brilliant but 3 beats it in every possible way and I don’t believe 3 will ever be beaten. Still play 3 all the time
