It's time for another round of Pick One! Now that August is in the bag (that went quickly, didn't it?!), it's time to go back and look at the entire batch of Xbox Game Pass games from last month — and pick a favourite!
I think for games that come out on the last day of the month they should roll over into next months vote, as I've downlaod tinykin but not got round to playing it yet but from what I've seen it looks really fun. So that gets my vote.
The only one I played from this list is immortals fenyx rising when it released in 2020.Tinykin and Immortality are on my play later list and the rest is mostly pc which I barely play on at all
I would vote immortals but it doesn’t count as played it when it came out ages ago. Come on some big new games for game pass please. Even if you have to splash some cash say for a new Christmas game like Arkham Knights.
Even if you went a new this year, dying light 2 or eleven ring.
Considering the let down of AAA releases Starfield and Redfall until next year.
Currently I feel like I’m paying for a back catalogue of old games.
Immortal’s Fenyx Rising. I only started playing it today and only around 5 hours in but it is excellent. A mixture of Assassin’s Creed and Breath of the Wild, two franchises I love.
The great thing is my kids love it to and so we’ve just spent the evening playing it together and taking turns. Just like we did when BotW released.
If I had to pick one I’d choose Death Stranding as it’s such a unique experience, I’ve invested around 200 hours in both versions of the game (Standard and Director’s Cut) and got the platinum for both, for anyone with PC Game Pass you really should just give it a try (but it definitely isn’t a game for everyone).
If we’re only taking into account Game Pass for Xbox then Immortals Fenyx Rising is such a fun game, it’s my favorite game recently from Ubisoft and in some things it’s even better than Zelda BOTW, which was clearly an inspiration for that game.
I only played Turbo Golf Racing because I loved Rocket League back in the day. Sadly it wasn’t something I stuck with as I bounced off the game pretty hard.
I might give Midnight Fight Express a go at some point.
It's been rubbish this year. Sooooo many 2D games and god damn simulators on Series X. Flight simulator I understand, but if you've got an xbox you've got a kitchen and probably a power washer so wtf are you cooking and cleaning on your xbox for when you can literally just do it in real life. Starfield and red fall were pushed back so how about some AAA games from a year ago? Not wildlands that's about 6years old (which I didn't play anyway because it came to gamepass with the online not functioning, great). I can't think of one game this year that's been awesome tbh and they're removing things like Hades! Immortals fenyx rising is pretty good but I'd already bought and played it. Have my hopes up for Darktide. How about some destiny 2 dlc back on the game pass? With light fall on the horizon. Some decent optimized games maybe? Rather than 10year old crap. I'm not buying game pass again until they've sorted it out. This is not why I bought a Series X.

Two Point Campus for me. A superb game that took everything good about Two Point Hospital and improved it tenfold.
playing through expedition rome now, pretty fun. combat plays out like xcom mixed with base management and expansion.
Immortals, and it's not even my favorite Ubisoft game.
For those who haven’t played Immortality yet, do yourselves a favour and download it…….you won’t be sorry.

In August I didn’t play any of these games since I was too much into xenoblade chronicles 3 .
Death Stranding is my favorite game of all time!
But for games that are new to me… Two Point Campus! It’s just relaxing and enjoyable as a sim. Really itching to play Immortality though.
Interesting to see all the praise on Immortals here. I thought the game was ok. Nothing more, nothing less.
